Marcus Week 8

Another busy weekend for the Kult family! On Friday morning, Marcus and I headed down to the Missouri Botanical Garden with our friend Brianne and her son Connor. It was a beautiful day so we walked from Brianne's house and toured the orchid show and gardens before having lunch. That evening we met up with Dan at our favorite wine spot - St. Louis Wine Market! They were hosting a special wine tasting paired with Girl Scout cookies, so we couldn't pass that up! Marcus slept through most of the tasting :)

The next day we went to a housewarming party for my boss Denise. It was great catching up with my co-workers and Marcus seemed to enjoy the warm atmosphere and attention! He was very content all evening.

Though it's been one of the snowiest seasons St. Louis has seen, the early part of this week brought some warm temperatures. Monday was 76 degrees so Marcus and I took another walk in Chesterfield with Jenny and her daughters. The next day was 82 degrees!! Dan left work early and the three of us took a late afternoon walk around the neighborhood.

Thursday marked Marcus' 2-month checkup! He is now 11 pounds, 14.5 ounces and 22 centimeters long, averaging in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. He also received several vaccinations which made for a very unhappy infant :( but he seemed to be doing much better the day after.

We're getting the house ready for the arrival of my friend Laurie from Chicago! She'll be staying with us this weekend and we look forward to introducing her to Marcus! See you next week!!
