Down on the farm...

The last time we were at Purina Farms was for the Incredible Dog Challenge, but I recently found out that they host daily activities for kids on their huge property! And the best part is, it's all free!

So earlier this week, we headed down to Gray's Summit to spend the morning meeting animals and seeing what Purina Farms was all about.

Marcus patiently waiting for the Farm to open.

The main building had exhibits and a movie theater, and that connected to the hayloft where kids can ride mini push-pedal tractors and use toy metal tractors to scoop corn and seed.

Below the hayloft were horses, cows, donkeys, sheep, chickens and a rooster, pigs and huge bunny rabbits. Marcus LOVED getting up close to the animals, and was especially excited to pet the pigs and bunnies.

After that, we took a short break for a snack and then met some of the dogs that live at Purina Farms. At 10:30, they did a cow milking demonstration and Marcus got to milk a cow too! Apparently they had a dog show but we ended up missing that. Instead, our last stop of the day was the wagon ride (no pictures) but Marcus enjoyed the bumpy ride and tried to stay on for a second ride :)

Definitely looking forward to more visits here in the future!
