Marcus is now 16.5 pounds! He loves to jump and bounce, and can stand up (while being held, of course) for a minute or two at a time. He holds objects (including hair and earrings) with a firm grasp and can reach dangling toys from his car seat and mobile much easier now. We've been reading a lot of books to Marcus and he's been helping turn pages, with a little assistance :
We will be trying rice cereal this week as his first solid food, so stay tuned on how that goes :)

After 10 minutes... he's all tuckered out.
A few weeks ago, a low-rated tornado came through our area, knocking down trees, fences and taking siding of a few homes. We were lucky to only have only a broken window. Here's the aftermath of the storm...
We took Marcus to Circus Flora... he wasn't too interested in the acts and Dan ended up spending much of the time outside the big rent tent.
Marcus' daycare took a picture of him the first week he arrived back in April... he looks so little here!
We enjoyed a gorgeous night out at Food Truck Friday in Tower Grove Park. 24 food trucks, bands and a great group of friends. Marcus enjoyed being outdoors, Dan found a frisbee game and I enjoyed catching up with our friends...

Last week, we headed up to Minnesota for the wedding of Dan's high school friend Chris. After making the 8.5 hour drive, this delicious raspberry chocolate pie was waiting for us, thanks to Dan's mom Tena! SO good!

After Minnesota, we headed up to Chicago to see our new niece Siena Rose born June 24th - 6 pounds, 15 ounces!
Back at the house, dad and mom entertained Marcus!
Mom took me to lunch at Suzette's Creperie in Wheaton - so good!!
Finally met up with friend Susie and got to visit with the high school girls, Laurie, Bonnie and Kim.

Back at home... what a busy but wonderful few weeks!
